ISBI - Alejandro 1.3

Mckenzie liked to cry and Nina's abilities to function as a mother worried me.

Luckily, Nina got the hang of it.

Let the games begin.

Nina really couldn't be bothered.

Eventually she went to feed her.

Alejandro was concerned about Nina's sleep schedule.
"You've been taking so many naps lately, Nina. Are you sure you're alright?"
"I'm fine, Alejandro. I'm just a little tired is all"

Nina took the quiet opportunity to nap.

"Mckenzie...you sure cry a lot"

Alejandro returned home ready to collapse.

As much as Alejandro had been concerned, he loved Mckenzie and hoped to keep her from the life he used to live.

"Let's see what's going on in the world..."

Too bad she fell asleep before the hour was over.

We got a call from Social Services. Luckily, Nina got on that asap.

Alejandro attempts to swat away the flames.

The young couple were exhausted and managed to get a few Z's.

Dina had invited Alejandro out to a pub in Windenburg for a drink.
He hoped this was her way of trying to get to know him.

Then she ditched him.
"Well, I might as well have some fun"

You see...It was Knight Night at the pub. If you dressed up, you got cheap drinks.

'This isn't as easy as I thought..'

Alejandro returned home to a confused Nina.
"Uh..Alejandro?"
"Hey Nina. You still up? I'm exhausted"

Mckenzie aged up!

Alejandro watched his daughter. She was such a cute little girl.
"Dad, these eggs are really crunchy.."
"Sorry, sweetie"

Nina's relationship with Mckenzie was on and off at best but she tried.

Nina literally just kicked this child off the couch and changed the channel.
Poor girl.

'I wish she'd wear more colours'

Mckenzie eventually got her chance to watch her favourite show.

Alejandro had bought Mckenzie a set of monkey bars.
She liked them a lot.

It was Dina's birthday and they were off to the party, minus Alejandro who was working.
"Behave yourself, Mckenzie. It's Aunt Dina's birthday after all."
"Yes, Mom."

Mckenzie spent most of the night playing video games.
Grandma Katrina insisted.

"Sis! Happy Birthday!"
"Thanks, Nina"

"The party's just starting! Get you butt down stairs and you better invite me to your birthday party, Nina."
"I wouldn't imagine it any other way."

The party, in Mckenzie's mind, was boring. She was happy when it was time to leave.

"Hurry up, Mckenzie. We'll miss our bus."
"I'm coming!"

When Mckenzie did catch up, she was happy.
'I can finally get out of this dress!'

Meanwhile, Alejandro got a promotion.

"Goodnight, sweetie."
"Goodnight, Daddy"

Alejandro and Nina hadn't woohoo'd in a while. With Mckenzie at school, it seemed like a good time.

"That was pretty great"
"You know my skills, hun"

"Mom, can I have some new toys? All the kids at school have such cool ones"

"We'll see. You have to be good though, Mckenzie"
"I will!"

Birthday time soon arrived and Nina set the party in motion.

Alejandro and Nina shared this party.
