Van did most of the child rearing while he was home
Cale was happy with this decision

He later went to tend to his garden
Julia decided to cook and I was nervous
She made a salad but abandoned it for pastry
Van had to go to work and left Julia with Cale

The couple celebrated
Cale was happy his dad was back. Mom could be a little scatter brained
Van was gaining a bit of weight so he went on a jog
They had renovated Cale's nursery so they were a little strapped for cash. Van decided to sell some of his jingles for extra cash
He looked very strapping in his new uniform for work
Julia decided to take up gardening as a way to be closer to Van
She was proud of her husband for working so hard. It was very admirable.
It was time for Cale's birthday!
He grew up to be independent.

Van figured he'd get a head start on Cale's skills but he was not having it

Van was pretty tired from his work and tried not to fall asleep in his animal crackers
It was a rare occurrence for the family to eat together but somehow they managed
Cale was adorable and babbled his way into his mother's heart

He was a stinker through and through
Julia seemed to ignore the nonsense that was going on around her
She got it together eventually
"Cale, we don't make a mess ok?"
"Weeeee!"
Being a perfectionist, Julia felt she was a bad mother
Cale tried his best to cheer up his mother, even if he didn't understand why she was sad
Van came home stressed and Cale disapproved
He still read Cale read to bed every night. That was something he refused to give up
"Ahh, you got me"
Cale was unsure about the chicken nuggets his mom made him
The amount of things he gets up to while Julia's back is turned is astounding
This is the third chips and salsa she's made in the past hour. Someone stop her
All of Van's hard work paid off!
He is now a notable newcomer
